Turnip is a great vegetable for improving your digestion
Turnip
Turnip is a root vegetable commonly grown in temperate climates and tastes similar to a daikon radish but not as crunchy as daikon radish.
You can eat it in all sorts of ways—like in salads, miso soup, nimono (simmered dishes), and plenty of other tasty dishes.
It’s a vegetable you can fully enjoy, including the leaves and skin, without any waste.
From Yakuzen perspective, turnip is good for people with Qi stagnation / Yin deficiency. It sends stomach Qi downward and helps to promote digestion, making it a great ally in relieving symptoms of indigestion.
Daikon radish is also great for digestion, but if you're sensitive to cold, you might want to go for a turnip instead. According to Yakuzen theory, daikon is considered a cooling food that can lower your body's temperature, while turnips are more neutral.
