Mugwort is a native spring plant that has been used in herbal medicine for thousands of years. Known for its warming properties, it helps invigorate the meridians and alleviates menstrual issues caused by cold, such as irregular periods and cramps.
Its distinctive fragrance is also prized for improving Qi flow and calming the spirit, making it a cherished herb in traditional practices.
In Japan, we have a traditional dessert called "Yomogi Mochi" (also known as "Kusa Mochi"), a mugwort-infused rice cake filled with sweet adzuki bean paste.

You can often find this delightful treat at local supermarkets all year round. It’s one of my personal favorites, with its earthy aroma and subtle sweetness making it truly special.

However, please remember that mugwort is related to ragweed and may cause allergies to those who are allergic to ragweed.
